Has anyone ever tried to get one of those credit cards for people with bad credit? I have done this in the past, it usually seems to be much like a regular credit card and I enjoyed using mine for emergency reasons and quickly paid it off. Some people, like myself, received a lot of credit card offers when they hit the ripe old age of 18. Some of those 18 year old adults were able to say no thanks and rip that application right up but I was not one of those. I ended up with three if not four credit cards at age 18 and couldn’t pay them all off, I used them irresponsibly and took three years to pay them off.
Of course, having those type of credit cards at a young age I had learned that credit cards can be good and poor credit credit cards can usually help a person rebuild their credit score if they can use the card correctly. Such as the situation when I received one of these type of credit cards and here is how they usually work:
- Start with a balance between 150 and 1000.
- Credit increases can happen after your fourth statement and from there possibly every four months.
- More than 800,000 people have benefited from these types of credit cards.
So the question remains, have you tried a credit card for people with bad credit before? If so, how did it work out for you?
