The dating scene can take you for a loop! From singles who are looking for a no strings attached one night stand to those singles who want to marry you within just a couple weeks of knowing you. I have experienced it all in the short while I have been dating and although I know my ex husband and I were simply not meant to continue our lives together these experiences have made me remember the good times we had as friends.
So I guess I can share a story … I was talking to this guy online, he messaged me and we chatted via email for a bit then it went to text message conversation. Of course I was talking about how every man I end up talking to online turns out to ask me a private question within just a few seconds, but this guy oh he waited a little while, let’s say a few days of short emails, but finally on the first text message he proceeded to discuss some well, information not worthy of sharing on this blog.
This meant I was done, could no longer text this guy because after all I am worth more than just a text message, dirty talking female. I am a mother and they will always come first which means attraction to a man is way low on my priority list at this moment. Gosh I just got divorced! I am, however, out there looking at the singles and trying to see if I can’t form a friendship with the opposite sex in a way that allows me to have a friend to watch movies with, eat chips and dip with or lounge all day on Sunday watching silly movies or shows.
I have found a few men who have become very good friends of mine and they were found through online dating, so after dealing with a few “bad apples” my “prince charmings” have shown through, well as a friend anyways. I am a firm believer that all the best relationships between a man and a woman start with friendship. When you are least expecting it the perfect person for you will fall into your lap as long as you put yourself out there to be found. The singles I met who are now good friends will text me a smiley face when I am down, bring me a Caramel Frappe to make me smile and just be there should I need a shoulder to cry on.
The online dating scene certainly can take you for a loop but remember that there are a lot of nice men and woman out there, just be patient, laugh off the ones who are not right for you and move forward to finding that perfect for you person.

My sister is going through this. She has discovered that some men are in for the deal of just her and not so much for her children. So sad. Her relationship with her first ex (who was aware she came with kids) from a dating site didn’t work out so well between them, but he is the best dad to my nephews.
Good luck!

I am looking for the same but many women I meet feel that is just a bit too boring. I have never tried online dating, but several success stories have been piquing my interest lately.
Have you ever used eharmony or that fish site?
