I recently shared that I was participating in a diaper pail test drive campaign between the Diaper Genie and the Munchkin Arm & Hammer diaper pails. I must admit overall based on my thorough review and of course use of both pails for my two boys in diapers I am way more satisfied with the functionality of the Diaper Genie. I would definitely recommend that product to another Mom who has a child in diapers or was going to have a child in diapers.
You may call me lazy but I enjoy using the foot petal and like that the bags seem to be never ending, yeah you have to tie the bags at the bottom and cut it off with the little cutter within the Diaper Genie diaper pail but for this busy Mama of chasing two in diapers all day long the Diaper Genie impressed me most when it came to functionality.
The Munchkin Arm & Hammer diaper pail worked just as great as the Diaper Genie in regards to odor protection, both seemed to keep the smell down completely, whereas when I was using my trash can for the boys diapers all day long my home would start to smell like a dirty diaper factor and it was gross. Both diaper pails saved my nose and visitors noses for sure.
I like that the Diaper Genie makes it easy to use while you have your hands full of two dirty diapers. My sons also seemed to be able to use the Diaper Genie easier than the Munchkin Arm & Hammer diaper pail which made it “fun” for them to get their diaper changed. I let them toss it in the Diaper Genie and they would love using the foot petal to open up the Diaper Genie.
There you have it, my final evaluation of the Diaper Pail Test Drive, Diaper Genie has won my family over based on functionality alone!
