Throw in the towel, climb back in bed and just sleep all day long. Yes depression affects me, I get depressed! Even happy go lucky people with a positive attitude can have their days or for me it’s usually a few moments. Lately there is a high level of stress being piled on top of my plate this is not due to anything more than financial struggles, which is something we all face from time to time if not all the time. For me it’s a time to time matter of fact of life that every once in a while my income isn’t what I had hoped for or planned for, some months are booming and other months are not so booming.
That is why as a work at home parent or a business owner you have to remember to not over spend on those booming months because you never know when a bad month will come and you will need to dip into that extra cash. For me I am struggling with some other personal things that I can’t really discuss here but no worries I am working on a different blog, so I will have a second blog where I can vent, rant and share details I just don’t feel “fit this blog” … hope you will be excited for me when I announce it!
Back to feeling like I wanna just climb back into bed … I really do some days, but I allow myself that moment of sadness and self pity then knock myself out of it, climb outta bed, take care of my children and drink my coffee. I have stopped exercising yet again and so I need to get back on that bandwagon as it really helps boost me. One thing I have found that works for me when I am feeling all sad and stressed is to truly change my pattern of thinking from “I don’t know how I am going to survive financially” to “I can do this, money will appear and more work will come to me”. You know what amazes me most? Every time I change my thoughts to a positive such as the example just provided, great things happen and everything turns around!
The best way to make the best come to you in your life is to not only tell yourself that you will succeed but to truly feel it and believe it! Once you truly feel and believe you can succeed you will be amazed at how just one simple change of thought will help you make it through your day, week and month! Happy Friday everyone, sorry no #followfriday post today, just not feeling it … but I am feeling that new work with come my way soon and the weekend will be a blast too!
((HUGS))

You are such an incredibly positive person. It’s inspiring, really! I have depression and there have definitely been many times in my life that I just didn’t get out of bed. Making yourself choose to push through it really does help sometimes.

Ahhh, I totally know that feeling. Good for you for pushing through it. Getting outside is supposed to help….maybe you could put the baby in the stroller and go for a walk? (mental note: must take my own advice!)

So true! Sometimes we just have to push through it all and remember today is only one day – tomorrow can be better!

I can totally relate to having the blues sometimes. Ever since I hit 40 the hormones have been raging, so at least you have a long while before all that good stuff. My kids always help me snap out of it because they are perpetual optimists, plus looking at them reminds me how blessed I am which always makes me feel better.
Looking forward to hearing about your new blog. Sound exciting:)
