As I talk to friends and hear their pain and all of the not so great things they are going through I try my hardest to get them in an upbeat mood. I have always tried to be cheerful, well not all my life, it seems like a few years back my brain transformed into this happy, optimistic brain and I can’t help but automatically start thinking positive thoughts when faced with a problem!

Every person has a choice to allow the problems in their lives to create a depressed, anxious individual or to create a proactive, happy individual. It’s as simple as thinking a positive thought and truly believing it.  From experience I can tell you that if you can learn to control how you think about situations or your self that eventually you will believe what you think!

It’s all a matter of training yourself and sticking to it! I believe that I am beautiful, I love my smile, my eyes and I believe I am a happy person. The fact that I truly believe these things means that every morning when I look in the mirror, yes even when I first wake up, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me, freckles and all. I see a smile that can’t fade and I see eyes full of passion and dreams!

To feel this way about yourself will only help magnify how others view you, I have been told a lot lately that I look so happy and that I just have this energy about me that seems to attract others to me. I am often the one my friends call to get a mood boost, but at the same time there are those acquaintances who will try to drain me of my positive energy by calling me or texting me all day long just to get a happiness boost. There comes a time when the happiest of people and the most giving of people need to learn when to say no to helping others.

If I were to allow those acquaintances to be a huge part of my daily life  I would be overcome with the feeling of exhaustion, depression and anxiety because they would have drained me of all the positive energy I use to create a well balanced life.
