My children are fascinated with anything that flies or moves and when they see a helicopter in the sky they point up saying “oooo” and “awww”. My Baby K points and says “uh oh” because that’s his favorite word! I was thinking it would be great to go on a trip this summer with the kids so that they can see a helicopter up close, maybe being able to touch the helicopter parts or the helicopter blades! That would be a blast for the boys!
I personally am scared of flying so for me it would simply be the joy of being able to get up close and check out the helicopter with my sons and watching their faces beam as they enjoy the sight! I wonder how hard it would be to complete helicopter repairs they seem like they may be trickier than cars, but who knows maybe all moving vehicles whether in air or by road work the same! I am just a girl after all so who am I to understand everything about md helicopter parts?!
No matter whether I understand the mechanics of helicopters or not I know that one day this Summer I would love to take my boys and my daughter too if she is interested to see a helicopter up close and personal!

I have been on a helicopter ride at the state fair with my grandpa. It’s one of my favorite memories of time spent with him and not nearly as scary for me as getting on an airplane was for some odd reason.

I have never been on a helicopter ride, but when we go to the Grand Canyon I definitely want to go on one. My son unfortunately has been in a helicopter when he was airlifted to the hospital via LifeLine. We feel like we owe him a fun helicopter ride after what he went through, and I think that it would be a great way to see something as huge as the Canyon.
My husband got to fly in one of the company helicopters for work, and he thought it was very cool but incredibly loud.

I was on a helicopter. We rode over Niagara Falls. It was fun, loud and kind of cool. I liked how you could see much more than when you are in an airplane and that you could move easier from one place to another.
If you are afraid to fly, though, I really wouldn’t recommend it! I am usually okay flying, but being able to see where we would land if we crashed…that kind of freaked me out a bit.
