Teens Who Volunteer

I am not a mother of teens, but someday I obviously will be and so summer volunteer programs are important to me to keep up with so that when the day comes & my children are teens I will be aware of teen volunteer places and encourage them to be a part of this program!

At this time my children are really young but we still try to volunteer our time in ways we can that are age appropriate, we donate goods every year as well to those who need food for the holidays. As a family it is important to me that we volunteer and give back to our community and other human beings any chance we get. I hope that when my sons are older we can do a lot more, but with two in diapers I tend to be a home body!

I hear so many great local hero stories on the news about teens who do the most amazing things for others. I just hope we are raising our children in the way that creates a positive future for our next generation!

If you are a mother to teens, do you encourage them to volunteer and do you look up teen summer program locations to see if there are any in your area?
