I ran around like a crazy woman yesterday with three kids, YES we went to Walmart, the pediatricians, to Rite aid and then home to get them back in the car again to go pick up the prescription at Rite Aid. Let me tell you what my sweet AJ hates to travel, and I don’t like the word hate but that is the only word that best describes how badly he detests being in the car! I seriously have to bribe him, drag him or have a race with him to get him to get into his booster seat. It drives me bananas, especially on a day when my energy level is low because of the lack of sleep from having two sick kids since Saturday.

I understand it’s my job as Mom to get him in the car without a bribe, but it’s a bribe for something I normally would do such as play his favorite CD, give him a juice for the ride or similar. Those are things he normally can have, but when you are talking about a three year old, he doesn’t put that fact into play … yet!

Anyways … I wanted to update you all that after a visit to the pediatricians yesterday AJ and Ki seem to have some sort of Viral Cold, it includes a wet cough and high temps as well as runny nose and stomach ache. I think it sounds a lot like the flu and he told me that the flu is a viral cold, so OK … whatever … the kids are sick but they are not dying. Great news! They will get better soon, hopefully, but in the meantime just keep fluids, a careful eye on them and oh yeah make sure Ki takes her ear infection medication!

Yeah you heard right Miss Ki has a left ear infection, funny thing is it’s the right ear that has been bothering her?! So the kids are okay just need some good soup, love and affection and a Mama’s watchful eye to ensure nothing gets worse! Ki hasn’t had a high fever since 11pm Wednesday evening so it appears this “thing” only lasted for five days … let’s hope AJ doesn’t get it that long, he was up all last night screaming for me and then wouldn’t let me do a thing to try to help him! The poor boy, he loves his personal space but sometimes a Mama just wants to snuggle her sick baby boy!
