Welcome To The Year 2010

The year is now 2010 and the time has come to start the year off right. I have researched the year 2010 a bit and found out that last night we had a Blue Moon and it’s very rare because it was the second full moon in the same month, interesting, could this mean good luck for the new year? I hope so.

Chinese calendar says the year 2010 is the year of the Tiger. Those born in this year will be considered the Metal Tiger and here is a direct quote from the website referenced below:

“The Metal element gives the Tiger its sharpness in action and speed of thought. Tigers born in the Metal year like to stand out in a crowd. With an inspiring assertiveness and competitive demeanor, they determine their goals and then do anything necessary to achieve them. This good-looking character sometimes suffers from mood swings and temper tantrums. The Tiger can be known to jump to conclusions or to act too quickly without weighing the options or understanding the consequences. This is a flaw Tigers must learn to curb” taken from www.herongyang.com/chinese

I don’t usually make personal resolutions, not because there are not areas of my life I want to focus on because by all means I would love to quit smoking for longer than 9 weeks this time, spend more time admiring the small things in life and of course lose some weight.  I am just not a big New Year’s Fan nor Valentine’s Day … I don’t know why maybe it’s because I haven’t done anything super spectacular on these days ever and so really all I can think of for New Year’s is drinking and Valentines Day well don’t even get me started!

So for New Year’s I won’t set any personal resolutions but I will focus on some personal goals and as I reach them I will celebrate! Some of my goals this year are that of a very personal nature and so they are best kept to myself for now.

Happy New Year My Friends … I wish you a positive, successful and happy New Year 2010!

Make it a Happy Day!
