Yes I know it’s just barely the end of January in New Hampshire and I am thinking about Spring time and things I would like to do around my yard and home. I love Spring cleaning, yes indeed I do. My children on the other hand do not like Spring cleaning, because in all reality that means their favorite toys that they haven’t touched all Winter get tossed out to the garage for a yard sale or given away on Freecycle to someone else who will play with them.

When I first moved in my home one of my ideas (I had many) were to add a bay window in my living room and a couple window flower boxes right outside of it as a way to make my home look more pretty. I love flowers, they are just so beautiful. One thing I have always told anyone who dated me was to not buy me flowers, I am more the “pick me a batch of wild flowers” kind of person. I love black eyed susans, lilacs and well there are some other flowers I like that are purplish but who knows what they are called.

Window boxes are not just for flowers, you can have garden window boxes which was something I thought about after my daughter finally got her own bedroom. My daughter and I love trying to grow things, she has the green thumb I do not. I thought if we could do something together that would benefit the family having a garden window box would be best. It would be just small enough for her to maintain and a great project for us to do together. We both love our veggies and to know we are growing them ourselves would be a great feeling of pride!
