Many have asked how to create a Facebook fan page and well it’s a really fantastic addition to any business, website or blog. Reality is you can do a lot with a fan page and not to mention fan pages will come up in Facebook users sidebar as a suggestion if some of their friends are a fan. Basically it’s a free way to advertise your business.

Visit Facebook’s Create a Page area and choose which type of page you will be creating; local, brand, or artist. If you are creating this for your business or website the choice would be under “brand”. Name your page by website name, brand name or business name. My Happily Blended page is titled Happily Blended and my business fan page is titled Brandy Ellen’s Business Solutions because that is the name of my business.

If you are setting this fan page up for a blog or a website that has a blog you can choose to have the RSS feed pulled directly into your Facebook Fan page, I love automation! Remember to upload your logo as the home page image and be sure to enter all your details under the info tab. Should you be creating this fan page for a business that carries products maybe upload a few photos under the photo tab.
