I had a chance to review Jumpstart which is a 3D virtual world for children to play in that is safe and allows your child to learn. My middle child AJ was the most addicted to this website. AJ turned three yesterday (August 13th) and has always been better at learning through video and games. He was not “officially” diagnosed with ADHD but was told by a psychiatrist that he certainly is showing signs of ADHD. As two parents who refuse to medicate unless absolutely necessary we are always looking for new ways to encourage his learning in a way that leaves him happy rather than frustrated and angry.

Jumpstart was the answer! We received a three month free membership as well as the Jumpstart CD for Ages 5-6 (which is more for my daughter at age 6, but AJ loves to play it too).

Why I Love Jumpstart

I am in love with Jumpstart because it encourages my children to learn while using their imagination. Today is a world all about technology everywhere we turn people are on their cell phone, blackberry or iphone, and the internet. As a parent it is hard to keep your children away from technological advances and Jumpstart is a a safe and wonderful way to allow your children to be a part of this advancing technological world while still increasing use of their imaginations and brain power!

You can visit Jumpstart.com to join in on the wonderful virtual 3D world of using your child’s imagination to learn. Right now there is a multi-player version of Jumpstart, however, we have not tried it as of this moment. I certainly will be telling you more once my children test drive the multi-player portion of Jumpstart.
