Happy Monday – Weekend Recap

I am writing this blog post late Sunday night, but scheduling to be up live on Monday. This weekend has been a long one, and my husband will return to work on Monday. As I sit here wishing he didn’t have to go to work, my mind keeps telling me to be happy that he has a job, and that I have a business to keep this roof over our head. I will miss him dearly come Monday but am happy he is home during the weekends again!

We spent two weekdays picking up computer parts and other miscellaneous type shelving items as well as picking up some new cubicles so I will have a more professional looking work space. This weekend we were able to take some time and move around the items we picked up, clean out the kids items and offer those we were not keeping on Freecycle as well as to create a pile of items we will try to sell at a garage sale before Summer is over.

I also spent some money this weekend on a program that we felt was “worth a shot”, after purchasing this “kit to make money” we found the details were not that accurate. Although it was not a “get rich quick scheme” {we know better than to fall for those}, it was a bummer to spend a couple bucks just to get a few e-books on topics I already know about. Mostly SEO and utilizing Google Adwords and Adsense as a mean to make money. I get what the company was trying to sell but will most certainly be cancelling my membership as it’s not worth the monthly fee as written in their fine print {that we DID read prior to purchasing}. I just hope they truly cancel, too many problems in past with companies scamming you and never cancelling until you call them numerous times threatening the BBB complaint on them. UGH, so glad I run my virtual assistant business in a professional nature, I could not imagine running a business so negatively.

AJ is taking melatonin to sleep again, after two weeks of being up past midnight we decided to give it a try and well “knock on wood” it’s working! Apparently Baby K has decided since brother is sleeping sound he must give Mama and Dadda a hard time … and so continues our never ending battle with sleep deprivation. I told my husband the other day he is so strong to get up on less than 4 hours of sleep every night to go to work. I tell ya, I wouldn’t do it. As much as I know he needs his job to pay the bills, I do not believe I would be a strong as him. First, I am not a morning person. Second, I am one who needs 12 hours of sleep to be bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning {needless to say I haven’t slept that much since the boys were born 1 and 3 years ago}. Basically you don’t want to see me in the morning!!

I guess that’s it for my weekend recap, I hope you will bare with me as I am behind on some product reviews and giveaways, so I will be wrapping them up this week to move forward in August with less reviews and more support, tips and advice!
