  1. My godfather is the only close family member of mine that has died (knock on wood) but he’s buried over 1000 miles away, so I don’t go visit his grave that often. I think it’s been 3 years since I last went.

Good luck with your garage sale this weekend! I know just how much work it takes to organize; I hope you sell all your stuff!

Oh, and I’d been meaning to tell you that I LOVE your header! It goes perfectly with your title and byline. I added your button to my blogroll 😉

    Have a great weekend!!

  2. I feel the same way about visiting the grave site of loved ones. My dad passed when I was really young and when I lived closer I would visit his grave. I often feel bad because I haven’t because I am more than 12 hours away now. The same goes for his mother and father who passed years after him. It makes you feel more connected to them and gives you the opportunity and memory to share with children about that person.

I also need to get some cleaning and whatnot accomplished this weekend. I am focusing on the office area because the papers and magazines accumulate so quickly. My oldest graduates this coming weekend so it’d be nice to have things in order and not have to “hide” stuff.

It would be nice to be near family to have a cookout. Maybe I should get a grill and invite some people over. Have fun!
