Blog Swap Party!! Fitness post written by Julie from Cool Mom Guide.
So I slipped on a size 6 for the first time since high school this morning yet I still feel fat. I remember high school and I remember that size 6 yet I weight 123 pounds then and am 142 now. They must be making jeans different than they used to.
I’ve been very lucky in the past few weeks and the wonderful people over at EA Sports invited me to go to Santa Barbara the weekend of April 4, 2009 with a handful of other bloggers (moms and dads) to test out the new game by Oprah’s personal trainer, Bob Greene.
First off, I can’t begin to say how excited I am to be staying in Santa Barbara and secondly have you heard that we’re going to be joined by Celebrity Guest Alison Sweeney from none other then “Days of our Lives” and “The Biggest Loser”?!
I can not believe it! I have been watching days since I was 10 years old and feel like Ali and I grew up together and she just welcomed her second child into the world a few weeks ago, so she’s where many of us are trying to get back to her lovely pre-baby figure.
We’re going to talk health and fitness and then have the honor of testing out EA Sports Active for a 30 day challenge before the game is even released and I’llVlog and Blog my progress throughout the entire challenge. Everyone knows the success I’ve had with the Wii Fit, but all of you didn’t meet me until I had that success. I have 20 pounds to go and I’m thrilled that you’ll all be apart of this journey with me.
Now, since I’ll be playing the EA Sports Active game, I plan on taking a break from the Wii Fit for that 30 days. I’ll never give up on that game, it’s proven itself to me but I have to be fair to EA Sports Active and can’t mix another workout in if I want to give it a fair trial.
I’ll be sharing my journey with you and I want all of you to share your fitness stories with me and the rest of the Wii Mommies at the Cool Mom Guide to Fitness. Whether you use the Wii Fitness Ultimatum, Jillian Anderson’s Fitness Game, the Wii Fit or even the Wii Sports games that come with you wii, I want to know how gaming keeps you active and I’m also interesting in hearing how you diet and work other forms of fitness-related activity into your lives!
