Tue In Diapers Tuesday

What a great topic for Tuesday “Tue in Diapers”. Yes I am guilty of having tue {two} in diapers and I will post about them every Tuesday so you can all read how wonderful {crazy} it is to have tue in diapers.

My middle child is a boy age 2 and my youngest is a boy age 4 months, both born in August and are exactly 2 years and 6 days apart. I hope to post up pictures of my home next week so you can truly see what it’s like in my household having tue in diapers {be afraid, be very afraid}.

The day starts off like this; my 2 year old wakes up “momma up…momma up”. I proceed to the bedroom to pick AJ up out of his crib to find he has all his clothes on {yay} but needs to change his diaper and yes it’s a #2 diaper {you know what I mean}. As I walk with him into the changing diaper area {floor in living room} I realize he has soaked through all his clothes and now needs to be tossed in bath tub. While bathing lovely diaper boy number 1, diaper baby decides to wake up. {insert mom pulling hair here}. Luckily diaper baby is very patient and I only know he is awake because he is in my bedroom babbling happily.

Bath for diaper boy #1 is complete, he is dried off and dressed for the day. Proceed to room to get diaper baby who has #1 diaper {better than #2} but is so full that yes he needs a bath too. I wonder, do children know they must fill their diapers overnight so that mom can have a wonderful morning of bathing and changing them? No matter how many times my tue in diapers go to bed with an empty, clean diaper they wake up refreshed with a full, dirty diaper. {where is the magic diaper fairy much like a tooth fairy?} How wonderful it would be to have a magic diaper fairy magically appear to change your tue in diapers daily. {I wish…I wish}

As the day goes on, it gets a lot easier, it seems diaper boy #1 and diaper baby only fill their diapers beyond their means overnight! The toughest part of having tue in diapers would be that when I need to change one, the other decides they want mommy’s attention more than the other one needs it {insert 2 year old climbing on mommy’s back while changing diaper baby here}.

Although I love my children dearly, having tue in diapers is quite a chore and I certainly would not recommend it to anyone who is not familiar with the terms “multi-tasking” and “patience”. I will be glad when diaper boy #1 weans himself from being diaper boy #1 to being potty boy #1, another post will come when that day happens {in the year 2012}.

All joking aside it is wonderful to have tue in diapers and to have them both be boys, they will be able to do so much together {wrestling, punching matches, attacking mommmy} and I so hope they will be best of buds. If you have tue in diapers and would like to post about it, please leave a comment with a link to your post and I promise to read it every Tuesday.

Cheers to those who have tue in diapers,
Brandy
